Long Putts (10-20 meters): Prioritize Rhythm, Control Power
Advanced version of the “One-Two Rhythm Method”—Backswing 1 second (clubhead back to knee height), downswing 1 second (clubhead forward towards the target), keep arms relaxed, avoid wrist exertion; combine with “distance marking practice” (draw three lines on the practice green: 10m, 15m, and 20m, distinguished by different colored balls; putt 10 balls each time, record the number of putts within ±1 meter of the target line, target 8/10);
Mid-Range Putts (3-10 meters): Combine Direction and Power
“Aiming Line + Pendulum Swing”—attach an aiming sticker (red, 5cm long) to the putter face, aligning it with the target line; maintain “shoulder and arm as one” during the swing, swinging back and forth like a pendulum, avoiding body sway; practice with three distances: 3m, 5m, and 8m, putting 10 balls at each distance, target 7/10 Aim for a putt within 30 centimeters of the hole.
Short putts (within 3 meters): Mental preparation + detail optimization.
“Breathing technique + fixed stance”—Take three deep breaths before putting to calm your nerves; stand with your feet parallel to the target line, 15-20 centimeters from the ball, arms hanging naturally, grip the club firmly enough to hold it without dropping it (level 1-2, level 10 is the tightest); use the “coin aiming method” (place a coin 10 centimeters in front of the ball, aim at the target, putt the ball past the coin, then to the hole), practice 20 putts daily, aiming for 18/20 holes.
